Itasha. Literally translated to mean "painful car".
Itasha is what happens when you combine people obsessed with manga, anime and video games (referred to as otaku) with unsuspecting cars.

Itasha bikes are crazy too
this reminds me of the pink s2000 in 2fast2furious
Spot on. The pink S2K in 2 Fast 2 Furious was surely inspired by this movement.
There is a yellow and black supra in the states that has all the anime characters painted all over it, looks like balls....
Can't say i really knew there was a movement for this, i thought it was just the odd car that appeared at a meet in Japan - but Justin's first pic looks like theres more than 1!
Where does the connection tie in from anime to someones car? Usually car mods are performed to make them more ... car-ish .. faster, more comfortable, or to accentuate the lines
I guess here the car is just a blank canvas for a moving artwork?
I quite like the look of it
Aperantly the owner of this car made his fortune buy selling hentai haha
Okay found the supra i was talking about :
The Hulk car from Tokyo Drift reminds me of this.
Read up on the Wiki guys, seems like it's been around since the 80's in Japan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itasha
