    Chewy's NA8C SR20DET Is Getting A Nose Job

Its been a while since i've posted anything on this site. Bought this rolling shell in the beginning of May 2011. Idea's of what to do with it have crossed my mind numerous times and have stuck to one goal since then. instead of writing my whole life story i'll just let the pictures tell the story instead.

this is the car i picked up. it looks like a piece of crap but it'll look pretty when im done with it

Back home this is what it really looks like under its covers

    Sick project man.

Im in the similar situation as you, stay motivated bro. The end result will be pleasing than any other car you will ever get. Looking at those photos reminds me of my S13 alot!

im actually driving an MX5 with an SR20DET at the moment. my plans are to change my current one to stock and this black one with the SR20... why? because i like black more than silver and plus the paint on the black one is in better condition than the silver one

All good man. Have you fixed the damage on your radiator support? It looks identical to my damage, keen to see how you fix it. I might just cut the one off my donor car and put it on mine.

Why the tractor engine? If you're starting with a bare shell why not go 13BT? Keeps it in the family, more power potential, sounds 43876085734985675874358943758943574 times better, responds better to basic mods etc

SR20's are like the town bike, everyone will have a go at least once.
    Rail it & nail it.

Yesterday was a very good day for a swim at the beach... i set u the tarp for some shade and then.... i worked on the car instead

This is the part where you stand there and scratch your head at the huge mess you see before you

    Junk central locking

Blower motor removed, air vent mechanism removed, evaporator had to be left intact because it still has AC gas inside

One side of the loom out

    Half a day later...

Friend just taping up the wires that are still needed.

    Pretty

So Mazda had decided this awesome idea of making the ECU harness and the body harness as one... Jinba Ittai much?
