Thought I'd take a few photos of the interior to show off. I spent half the day cleaning it up with a friend and it turned out pretty good. Kudos to the original owner for maintaining the interior so well.

Yeah but I didn't buy the car with the wheels, they were 14x6 with regular tyres and would've added $2000 to the price.

Nice buy. I also jumped from S15 to MX5 and it's then you realise power isn't everything. Though having power is nice.

Man if only we both knew we were ordering the same tyres, could have saved a bit on shipping. And yeah I'm keen to give a hand, just PM/MSG me.

Not much of an update today, went by MX5 Plus to fix up a cracked weld on the exhaust. Got the car home and let it cool down before I removed the valve cover and cam angle sensor, they were both leaking oil pretty bad. Too lazy to take photos and it was un-interesting to document anyway.

Tomorrow I will be fixing up the immobiliser and possibly installing a new head unit. Also gotta drop by Mazda to pick up some replacement hoses.

Wednesday will be dropping the car off at chewyryce's work for a full checkup to see what else needs replacing etc. The sump might be leaking, if it is then it's going up on the hoist Friday and Saturday to re-seal the sump.

Oh and a late update from Sunday...

We went by MX-5 Plus yesterday just to browse and I ended up buying a genuine Mazda shock tower brace (strut brace) and some horns to replace my stock ones. Instead of going with an after-market brace, Richard (owner of MX-5 Plus) recommended the factory option item as it actually works with the better mounting. Also found some klaxon TR99 horns which are rated at 110dB each, so my NA6 now has two of these instead of the tiny factory item.

Quickly cleaned up the engine bay to get it ready and just polishing up my new shock tower brace. So shiny now =)

All mounted up nice and clean.

These are the klaxon TR99 horns, made in France and produce 110dB each. Strange that so many imports come over with these installed from Japan.

Comparing the size difference between the klaxon and the factory horn.
