Got her running thanks to a few mate's giving me a hand.

It's yet to be tuned, just got it started and idling at a reasonable AFR. Have to look into stiffer engine mounts too.

    ITB Build Complete! - http://omgpham.com/itb-build-complete

Even though I say "complete" I really don't mean it, I will keep building and working on my car. It never ends! And I think many out there can relate

Big thanks goes out to mate Ian for helping me the last couple of days to get it running. A few issues here and there but all sorted now.

I've done about 500kms already and have loved every second of it. The noise and power increase, the engine has brought the car to a new level and I'm absolutely stoked with the results. Can't wait to build the high compression bottom end!

I was a bit slack with the photos, was too caught up in the moment. But here are a few snaps anyway.

Ian producing a base map for the engine.

The idle was really rough and shaking the engine a lot, once the throttle bodies were balanced everything became very smooth and idle was much nicer.

A few early mornings were involved to get the cold start idle and cranking settings.

How is this going, had a chance to drive it much? Strange question, but what sort of fuel economy do you get out of this now?

P.S. You should seriously make and sell an ITBs kit for the MX5 on omgpham.com !

    Hey mate.

Been driving it heaps, been mostly ok but still having issues with tuning. ITBs are just tricky like that. I've been trying to tune it using the Megasquirt's "ITB Mode" but I haven't completely figured it out yet.

A few friends are helping me with it now, but I might give up on it and just use Alpha-N for tuning.

Fuel economy has been mostly shit, probably around 15L/100km. That's a mixture of gentle driving and absolutely flooring haha.

There was a stage where I had the tune pretty good and was getting around 12L/100km. Can still improve on it I think.

awesome stuff! Thanks for the reply. I've read it can be quite tricky to resist the ITB noise ecstasy, hence fuel economy suffers! Yeah I can imagine that tuning would be a handful, do you think you are going to take to to a dyno any time in the near future?

Again, great build, quality work. Best of luck with it all! Would love to see (and hear) some videos soon
