If you like elephants, and I mean like them, as opposed to seeing them as entertainment/transport, I'd recommend visiting Elephant Nature Park.
Also, you could go stay at a cheap backpackers and meet a guy named Daffy who will give you a map to a secret beach on a forbidden island and then kill himself, and then find a nice French couple to travel with in search of the island, and then give a copy of the map to some American tourists who will eventually mess things up for you, and then live on the island for a few months and then start hallucinating and go crazy... and then and then..

No ping pong shows lol just out for the day adventures and whatnot. Looking into hotels in koh samui atm, any recommendations? Not wanting to go all out but want to have a great time in a nice place

well ive got 3 days in koh samui, 2 days in bangkok. so relli dont want to be spending.half the time on a train or wateva. planning tiger temple, butterfly farm, elephant rides, maybe some fishing for giant catfish..spend some quality time u kno!

Bangkok is a major city there's heaps to do and see there, although i haven't been to Bangkok so i cant personally tell you whats good to do there
