    Importing body kits

there's a bit of damage on my car so im looking to put on a whole body kit on instead of just fixing it and i don't feel like messing around with cheap, dodgy ones.

does anyone here know how i should go about importing one directly from a company in Japan? what are some obstacles i might face with doing this? please help~!

So, you want to import it yourself or wanted to find someone to do it for you? If its the 2nd one, you can speak to Eugene (MXFLY)

Local copies are sometimes a pain. Hence you need to find out who's a better copy. Obviously, BODYFORM is the way to go, but not sure if Peter makes any BK for FCs....

Well Zi's importing some massive pieces (even more massive boxes) for me (for my 2K). It's coming by ship as it's just too expensive to bring in by plane.

Justin, it will most likely be a wide-body kit. Can Zi also bring something in from US as well? how much cn i expect to pay (just a rough estimate will do) for shipping of a WB Kit (from US and Japan) and prices of shipping vs air frieght?

    Sorry i'm full of questions

since i ordered mine via overseas, this is what happens:

You order it and they usually ship it by sea (much cheaper option) and you pay then for the item + shipping.

When it comes to australia, it has to be cleared by customs. depending on the item it may require fumigation or other processing etc etc etc

I reccommend getting a customs broker to handle it for you. it will vary from company to company but it sure takes the hassle out of importing stuff!

    good luck!

a good place to get a bodykit is www.japanparts.com

Sorry again, but would you (or anyone else) give me a rough quote on the custom fees that will be charged for a full wide-body kit? (fenders and all)
