fahh looks good!
Hey guys, Been Lurking here for a while now and have seen lots of detailed builds and vast array of different cars.
Decided that I should do a brief introduction of myself and create a thread where i can show progress, rant rave ect ect.
Lets Start from the beginning. Way back in '08 a couple of my friends were starting to get 240sx's and after going for a drive, I was hooked. I was away from home and in school, but had a good job as a valet so i picked this up:
'90 240 hatchback. the 2.4L SOHC motor wasnt going to cut it so over the winter i saved and bought enough for a silvia half cut and a bunch of supporting mods (FMIC, 3" exhaust and all the usual stuff.
Did the swap in the spring and turned out looking like this.
Appearance wise it was stock minus the hubcap uglies.
Got lowering springs and stock 7 spokes and drifted it a little. Decided that lowering springs were useless and bought cheap megan racing coilovers.
Got some misc interior things. Bride Brix ll and knockoff OMP wheel. It was a fun little car to drive around.
Coils were way better to track with. Also picked up some 16x8 SSR type Cs Super light weight and the white and red scheme always works well.
The car was great but needed a little more Jam. The stock T25 was changed for an S15 T28 turbo, 550cc injectors and Apexi SAFC (was a broke collage kid) Ran this setup for about a year at 12 psi and loved it. Car looked good and drove well.
Probably my favorite shot of this car.
Acquired OEM sides, a front lip, rear valance and wangan wing.
The car was perfect.
then i did the stupidest thing ever. This was cool on the internet at the time
The wide wheel craze hit me and i traded the SSRs for some diamond racing steelies.
16x10+0 up front and 16x10-12 in the rear
Car looked cool but drove so bad. it had to have so much camber to fit the rears.
Got Fed up with the car so i parked it and went to California to work for 2 months to work on a General Motors release tour.
...to be continued...
thanks for reading.
