is hayabusa a good learner bike?
yes hayabusa is the best learner bike around. a bit lacking in the power department, but thats what you need as a learner anyway.
does it go harder than a fully sick cb250rr with loud exhaust and tyga kit ?
Get a 2-stroke. Win at life.
Seriously though, ignore the racey wank bikes and new stuff and get a GPX250. Reliable as an old boot, sit on 140-odd reasonably easily (gotta wring it out though) so city traffic would be a cinch, and being a parallel twin they sound so much better than the XR250 wannabes and mosquito bikes.
Had one when I was 16/17, sold it when I got into cars.
Edit: it may have been a ZZR, memory's a bit foggy. This was 5-6 years ago.

be patient and wait till the CBR500r comes out in may...
I have been looking at 2008 onwards ninjas and 2010 onwards cbr250r as a first bike as I want one with low kms and something that I won't have to constantly be putting money into, I have a s13 for that.
I'm only going off what I have read about them I have not ridden or even sat on either one. Has anyone ridden both or either bike and have anything that they have noticed about riding each one
i owned a ninja for just over a year. Put 16000km on it had a blast never missed a beat. I coudent reccomend one more.
I test road the cbr, Felt like it had a tiny bit more torque being a single over the ninjas tiwn. but everything else went the ninjas way, comfort, position, power and most importaly looks :p
Id reccomend test rideing both (should be able to get a good deal on a ninja with the 300 out now) and just go off feel.
I would reccomend the Ninja. The CBRs parts are more expensive because it just came out, where the Kawasaki Ninja 250 R has been rolling around since '08. Cooler look, better sound, and carbs are easier/cheaper to maintain then FI.
Depending on your bank, you may be able to finance a motorcycle through your bank.
I have sat on both, thd CBR feels cramped to me.

I ended up buying a 2012 ninja 250r, after looking at both I chose the ninja over the cbr.
