    Open pod filters illegal in NSW right??

    I was just going through a few photos and found this..



    Pic is that new FPV Falcon GT-RSpec BOSS 400 Hwy patrol car... with an open pod filter?

    so whats this mean? lol does it need one of these?

    Its not exactly an open pod filter once the bonnet is closed. Look at the rubber seal around the pod filter.

    All FPV GT's have these filters. They are actually OEM equipment from Ford itself.
    Been ADR approved.
    Also, its only open when the bonnet is open.
    Bonnet closed = pod filter enclosed.

    I'd be defecting him for the bigger injectors, xforce exhaust, tune etc that is actually aftermarket and effects the emissions.

    This car was made by ford so it would have to meet all emission and ADR rules.

    Technically aftermarket to the community

    But if the ford released it with an xforce exhaust, ecu tune etc and that's how they released it, then it's all legal and wouldn't be classified aftermarket parts
