    People need to do more crimes / break and enter / rob banks / rape kids / kidnapping / Murder, until then, car enthusiast and their vehicles are a dangerous threat to the public

    The law was although made with good intentions, implemented extremely poorly. Cars which although turbo were safe, safer than locally built cars were penalised. Tbh, I hardly care now anyway since I'm exempt. Let the P plate restrictions continue, I had to go through them.

    I'm keen for it because FC turbo, and also budget rally weapons like the Laser will be allowed. Some Celica GT-Fours might be too. I know ST185 will be.

    What I'm saying is yes, there should be restrictions to prevent inexperienced drivers from driving high powered cars. Tweak the rules so that cars which may be turbo'd or supercharged are allowed, base the rulings not just on power but safety, within reason though.

    Fun fact for the day, you can learn in any car, even a V12 (saw l plate on an XJS)
