I hope not, like QLD is or so I've heard. Blanket rule is blanket rule etc.

"Such vehicles, including the twin-turbo diesel V6-powered Audi SQ5, heavily outweigh the power outputs of modestly turbocharged petrol vehicles, but escape the ban because they’re not petrol driven."
The SQ5 is 119kw/tonne. If they're going to ban that as well (not that any p platers could afford it anyway) then they're probably gonna keep the current system where you're not allowed over 165kw and keep the limit for cars under 1410kg to 100kw/t.

Doesn't this pretty much mean they will be allowed the majority of Jap turbo cars - barring top of the lines, like GTR, STIs, etc? I know that the r33/r34 GTST/GTT are 1.5tonne and stock power is about 170-200kw, which i'm fairly sure definitely puts it into the bracket! W T F.

    Am i missing something?

what if you get a car under the power/weight ratio but then turbo it? Do they make you bloody dyno it or what would be the possible outcome?

I'm pretty sure that p platers arent permitted to modify their cars beyond a cartain extent.
