    The catch is this:

"Cars with a power-to-mass ratio (PMR) of less than 130 kilowatts per tonne can now be driven by P-platers, if the manufacturer replaces the standard build plate with one stating the car's PMR falls beneath the threshold."

Taken from this article: http://smh.drive.com.au/motor-news/p...518-1yulp.html Regarding the Victorian rules.

I have no idea whether this same thing will apply in NSW though.

Also, will the Australian version of some cars be de-tuned to make it just pass the law?
Owners can than get a flash tune and get the power back.

That's from last year regarding NSW and it's already been implemented.

For Moderate-performance turbo/supercharged vehicle exemptions an exemption is given to vehicles under 100kw/t and to vehicles between 100kw/t and 125kw/t if they weigh over 1410kgs and have less than 165kw of power.

    Hay guy

First time poster and first time driver of a turbo car, just got my Red Ps, can someone tell me where to buy air pod and BOV and a good exhaust for back pressure for more horse power so i can drop mad single leggers at meetups and hopefully crash into other cars and become e-famous. i dont want to spend thousands of dollars but something that is shiny so the police can see it when they pop my hood

    Are they currently legal?
You may be able to pull it where you buy it before, then get an exemption based on the fact that you can already drive it. I think something like that happened when the original turbo laws came in.
    Someone else know?
