What will deem vehicles as "high performance"?

    EDIT: EP82 starlet GT time!

Thats why its being changed, cos it was a fuck around as before and there was too many exemptions and loopholes on bullshit that couldn't be policed/enforced/etc
Forget whats on the RTA Website, it has to be changed.

Bottom line is 130kw/tonne, weigh less than 1410kg and [email protected] - Legal.
    Anything over that - illegal.
Cars currently listed on the website - now legal, no exemption needed.
Certain cars currently on the prohibited vehicles list - legal - providing they aren't high performance.

P Platers will now be able to drive turbo. A turbo Golf or Cruze with fuck all power.
That pretty much sums it up at the end of the day and that is what is going to be proposed.

This is the RMS remember - they do shit half arsed.
I'll be very very surprised if the 130kw/tonne limit is that it and any car under a certain weight or power will now be legal, but I guarantee that won't be the case.
Its just letting P platers drive low performance turbocharged cars legally that are currently on the RTA website as previously noted that needed an exemption before and add a few more cars on the shithouse prohibited vehicles list that was made up by some dimwit a few years ago.

As for V8's, well the same restrictions will apply. 130kw/tonne, weigh under 1410kg and have less than 165kw. So any new V8 will be still on the banned list.

Do you have a source for this or is it just speculation for the time being? I'm really curious to know which cars will fit the 130kw/tonne and still be banned.

My source is my work plus RTA website -whats on there now.

Plus there has been media coverage about it for the last few months.

Even if they do drop the weight restriction subject, not all cars under 130kw/tonne will be legal. As I said before I'll be very very surprised if that part did go ahead.

There will be no doubt a full list of cars that will be legal and illegal on the RTA website once its all approved and implemented just like the current prohibited vehicle list that is in force now.

ST185 GT4 is already on the exempt moderately powered vehicle list. Along with the AE112R Sportivo Levin.

Do you have a document or something of what will be classed as high performance?

I either want a turbo rotary or a V8 Valiant.
Past that, I don't really care.
Ps don't last for that long anyway, let's be honest.

As someone mentioned this is the loophole. What the hell constitutes a high perfomance if the numbers tell you it is less than 130kW/tonne? Or even more than 1410kg and less than 165kW @ fly.

so in a nut shell your N/A cars such as DC2R, S2000, EG with B16/B18/Ks swap etc, will possibly still be faster then legal turbo cars

but at least you get the ssstututututu
People need to do more crimes / break and enter / rob banks / rape kids / kidnapping / Murder, until then, car enthusiast and their vehicles are a dangerous threat to the public
