    Finally some more progress.

Drivers door dismantled and removed. Wiring harness was tricky to disconnect. I'd say almost impossible without the dash removed as I couldn't get my hands up in there to disconnect the plugs.

    One door.

Next step is dismantle and remove the other door then prep the shell for paint!

Threads like this make me wish the job was already done and you just bombed the thread with the whole build process! I look forward to every update. Great stuff.

    You and me both! Cheers.

I am actually really looking forward to the mechanical side of this project as that is what I enjoy more. But the paint and interior was always going to frustrate me so I wanted to get it out of the way first.

    Drivers door 99% stripped.

Will start on the passenger door dismantle this week and hopefully have that stripped too.

Just some pics of retrimming the door speaker grilles I found from earlier.

I used a lot finer grille cloth I had from a previous hifi project. Looks much nicer than the coarse OEM stuff I think.

Refinishing some scratched door trim inserts... not sure on final colour choice yet but the matte black turned out quite well for a first attempt.

    After some wet sanding..

After some paint.. not fully dry in these pics.

Had my DC2R seats out for cleaning. Next to a new NSX seat, Recaro Pole Position, which will eventually be trimmed in Alcatara and Leather with red stitching.

    Yes

The original suspension is a little tired so I'll be changing it out for coilovers. Also renewing bushings and adding NSXR bracing at the front.

Haven't decided 100% on which wheels but I'll keep it a surprise haha... Because every 5 minutes I change my mind.

Exhaust will probably happen once it's blue slipped and back on the road

Changing mind every 5 minutes. I know that. My car couldn't stay the same more than 2 months.
