I was in the same situation and sold.
I eventually got over it and worked on better cars.
But still have that itch lol
If rego was cheaper in sydney I would keep it. Rego is a absolute killer in sydney compared to other states.. or even countries.
A mate in the U.S pays $50 a year for rego

if you are a car enthusiast 1 grand a year is not really a big price to pay.

rego isn't too bad but for me it's the largest recurring cost in motoring aside from consumables. I'm hoping to go historic rego for one of my cars soon

That's like me... I've promised to never sell my project car. I hope the day never comes, as I've grown far too attached to it.
But, sometimes you can't help it.
Some of us have a feeling of emptiness when we finish building a car, so we sell it off and buy a new car, and start again. I see it fairly often.

Imo, flip a coin, asign a choice to each option. If heads, you sell and buy an e46. Tails you keep the soarer. Flip the coin. What you are hoping it lands on, is what you do. don't even worry about what it lands on. Then, just balls deep, commit. Get a loan and buy the e46 anyway. Sell the soarer if you like the e46 more.
