    Lane filtering in NSW

Although lane filtering is common in other parts of the world, the introduction of the new law in NSW follows a trial which allowed fully licensed motorcyclists to travel at less than 30km/h alongside vehicles that had stopped. What do you think?

varies on condition. I wouldn't split through moving traffic (say, M5 at 80KM/h) but if it's in stationary traffic at a red light then to me it's fine.

However if the bike makes contact with a car and the car was originally in the lane biker is at fault right?

i filtered through on the traffic at the end of church st, Parramatta (where it joins m4 and woodville road)
put my foot down to stand the bike and was stationary, once the lights went green the genius to the left of me decided to use my foot as a speed hump and drove over my foot.
with that said, filtering may be legal but still take precautions and be careful.

now i'm left with 2 torn ligaments, a torn tendon and a heap of muscle damage.
