Too's Slowwwww ED Civic Build, B-Series install begins pg.17

    Hey Guys

So I thought I'd start a build thread mostly to keep me in check and on target regarding the goals I have for this car.
[Though I have already edited the 'list' part of this original post a couple times ]

    The story goes:
I bought it off a lady in Adelaide, who had owned it for the last 14 year, and drove it back to Melbourne the same day.

    What we're working with:
    ED6 Honda civic, built '89
    Deadly stock throughout.

Where I want to get it:

    Front strut top brace
    Brake master stopper
    Polyurethane bushing kit.
    Braided brake lines
New discs + DA9 rear disc conversion
    New pads
    14'' BMW Bottle Caps.
    Roof rack
Front spoiler, Kaido style? [Template is made!], Currently running trimmed DA3 Integra lip
    Broadview mirror

Kind of just an understated car that is fun to drive, which it is already, but with better brakes, handling, and more grip.
NOTE:Most of the links in my post are simply me just collecting information for myself so its in once place.

Here is how the car looks now:

    13/9/15

    Accidental purchases so far:
Greddy Water temp gauge.[Wired up, just need to make mounting bracket and fit sender.]
    JAF logo sticker
BRIDE BRIX recliner seat+ Bride Rail
    3mm wheel spacers(each corner)
    Red rear-light garnish
    Rear strut top brace
    14x6 +38 TE37 (pair)

Probably the biggest one, actually more of a change of plans
    bought this (5/5/2016):

    So the new-direction list:
    OEM Honda B18c water pump
    OEM Honda Rear main seal
Gate B18c timing belt + Koya tensioner
    Hasport Mounts
    Hasport AC bracket
    Skunk2 Cam Seal
Skunk2 Magnetic trans and sump plug
ED to B series Shifter linkage
ED Hydro kit from EFClutchConversion, here is the thread for its development. So slick!!
Honda AP1 S2000 clutch master cylinder for hydro conversion
DA9 Integra front knuckles and brakes
DA9 Integra brake booster and master cylinder

    To finish/build:
Kanjo wing inspired wing. Spare wing acquired!

So some things have happened between my first post and this one.

    1. THULE ROOF RACKS. Managed to pick some up off Gumtree for next to nothing. They've already proved their worth since I moved house recently; mattress on the roof
I have started to make some brackets for a wind fairing, but am still yet to decide what to make it out of. Potentially acrylic sheet( AKA. Perspex), maybe even a plywood( with painted logo), or Coreflute.

    2. E30 BMW "Bottlecap" RIMS. Also another Gumtree find. Theyre 14x6+33( nothing special I know, understated and lighter that steelies so yeah) I managed to sell the stock 13'' the day I was fitting the Bottlecaps up so that worked out nicely.

They have Yokohama A. Drives, and as you can see the profile is HUGE! It kind of felt like I had made the car into some weird monster truck, anyway i'm just going to drive on them till they wear out and then get something in a 185/60, any recommendations? I would go with re001's as I had them on my AE86 but they have been discontinued/superseded from my understanding.

To fit these wheels I had to use tapered wheel nuts, as Honda's use the 'acorn' style one, so they would have the correct mounting surface: safety first. Also I had to get some hub centric rings, again safety. ED Civics ( and a many others I think) have a 56.1mm centre bore where as the BMW E30 rims have a 57.1mm. Just incase anyone was wondering

    Bonus stuff:

    Interior shot.
I picked the badge up at random( sunday?) market in Daylesford while on a road trip, it kind of sums up what I want this car to be about: Grand touring.

    Engine bay shot
Stock as a rock. I'd like to repaint the cam cover(same colour) but I'll wait till I'm doing a service, which will be soon.

    PLANS
I'm going to go hunting tomorrow at a wreckers for a DA9 Integra, or similar, front lip to get some of the action below happening:

.....hopefully it will make the car look less high, and more badass. We'll see how the hunt goes.

you should also look into putting in a rear sway bar, makes a world of difference (from a DA9).

Is it a straight bolt in, no messing around?

There is abit of fiddling around, you need to slip in a bolt and washer into the chassis rail in order for the brackets to bolt up to the chassis rail.

Look under the back of the car and you should be able to see the 2 holes im talking about, approx 10mm diameter.
