My First Car! Need a bit of forum help.

So I am turning 17 on July 5th and my parents have given me a budget for my first car. The budget is +/- $35k. I have found 1999 Nissan Skyline 25GT for $6.4k incl. shipping to my country.
Anyway, I am wanting to build it up to a car that has good street cred. Where could I make a post with people suggesting me parts? Thanks.

Lucky guy, my first car was $500.

My advice would be buy a cheap car for your first car, or budget in a 2nd car to the 35k to run around in because ..

    1. The majority of first cars always get a prang.
    2. If you want to modify it etc and have no idea what you're doing it will probably break
    3. Its always handy to have a car you dont care about to learn in even if its just the basics of driving because without a full licensed driver in the car watching your every move you're more likely to be careless.

I dont mean to be rude or sound harsh, just some food for thought.

I agree with this, have a shitter as a first car so you can thrash around. Also, having a cheap car will make you appreciate your new car more.

You should get something cheap and cheerfull for your first car. Somethig whoch is cheap to buy and run. Something like a toyota aygo. Reliable and fun car. It is something which does not natter if you have any acident in. Have all your beginners experience in it and all the crashes you nee before you get a nicer car.

Well i got it all wrong. I am 17 and i bought a nissan primera for my first car. I done this because i am a bit of a drier and have a lot of cars ad racing background. The primera gt is a very reliable car wjich neer goes wrong. Also has amazing handling. It is a type r rival. It is something whoch you can use you frain all the power out where a something like a bmw m3 has too much power and most people are too scared to unleash even half the power
