    The 1982 Daihatsu hi-JET

So after selling my Integra and parting out a type-x 180SX i found a guy on a usual facebook jdm group wanting to swap his 1982 daihatsu hi-jet thats been in a shed for 3 years for a sr20det.(ive been wanting a hi-jet or a suzuki carry ute since i was 12)
Asked him for a cash price and a few hours later it was at my place.
Has been resprayed a few months ago..

    Sorry for potato pics ahaha
When it was at mine first thing i wanted to do was take off the tray sides and empty the tray, but instead of latches to flip them down there held on by bolts, which is kinda stupid if you were actually gonna use it as a truck

    Interior has been re trimmed

Going to order new headlights and side lights because overspray and old, might try to clean them first.

interior light is connected to rear view mirror, is missing parts and wires, have a plan to strip it and use a 180sx rear view, and also put in a centre light

    Thats all for now

A pic of the pair of dragways. and a nardi i picked up from beau at Garage13 today

Test fitted one on the front, looks good just going to repaint the centres gold i think. Cant run them yet because need shank wheel nuts which ive ordered.

Also a little bit of poke

the other pair of the wheels a friend owns, and told me several times he will not sell them!
But i gave him a offer he couldnt refuse and i get them tomorrow. Going to look good!

The guy with dragways sold me some old school rx7 wheels too, (only a pair) only bought them bc $20. threw them on the back until i have the dragways on.

    Thats about it for now.
Stereo install saturday, along with the bride door cards.

If the old Mazda wheels fit then it's 4x110

Cheers guys, the stud pattern is 4x110. And i also picked up the other pair today. Tyres are smaller, but wider. (this will solve the problem i have with the pair of 155/70's hitting on the front guard thing.
Ordered the wheel nuts think i said that so fitting next week.

    Got the other pair!

smaller but wider tyres on them
    155/70 vs the 175/50

Not sure what im doing but the 55s hit the front guards so wont have that problem with the 175s

And painting the centres gold with the polished lip, started polishing one today and its coming up mint.

    Interior goes back together tomorrow.
