Drone Photography and Cars: Pros and Cons

When I saw the new drones on the market these days, with HD cameras and live video feed, I immediately wondered how they would perform for car photography purposes. So i bought one, and they work much better than your standard iphone camera. I have been using mine to build up my youtube channel RedlineCarFilms, but I have a lot left to film before I can say im good at it. Here are some pros and cons of filming cars with drones:

    PROS:
    -incredibly stable footage (without wind)
-ability to get angles only helicopters and cranes could get before
-ability to follow cars during rolling shots
    -super high quality videos

    CONS:
-wind can really screw up footage
-drones only go about 30 mph
    -still somewhat expensive
    -no audio recording (biggest annoyance)

all in all, drone footage of cars is pretty awesome and i recommend you check it out. Heres what I filmed with my drone the other day. its my 2016 miata at the beach:

    Nice info.

Drone photography is really one of the most interesting topics in professional photography these days.
