    89 Toyota Crown Royal Saloon

So as you or a few of you know the hijet is in for rust repair and fabrication.
Its been 3 weeks and ive been itching at myself to buy another car because ive been bored without a car to work on.
Then my fabricator advertised a Crown for sale, i knew what one was and knew they were kinda rare and VIP.

Sharing it's styling cues with the MX83 Cressida. The crown also introduced the world's first CD-ROM-based automotive navigation system, with color CRT display. Also, TRC traction control and electronically controlled shock absorbers called TEMS (shared with the first generation Toyota Soarer) were adopted.

Thats right its on airbag suspension.
    • Digital dash,

along with the screen and about 200 buttons, everything is electric.
    • Electric reclining seats, windows, mirrors.
    • Rear seats recline, and rear has own climate control and volume control.
    • Aswell as a fridge built into the parcel shelf
    • Dark tinted windows

    Has a auto 7ME engine (3.0 Straight 6)
With confirmation of previous owner has been rebuilt 30,000km ago
    • With cressida injectors
    • Advanced timing
    • Iridium Plugs
    • Turbo loom

Now thats all well and good but theres the bad.
Wont start because of some immobilser issue
    one bags blown

Have some pics from getting it to mine aswell as some prev owner pics (in former glory)
    Former glory first.

    Now current.

And kinda bought a set of enkei wheels with it too

Been wanting another 80's Jap Yota since i sold my mx62!

Going to work on getting it started and go from there.

Nice ride. Looks rough around the edges but hope you can get it sorted. How much did it set you back?

Was it expensive? I wouldn't mind a 7m but I'd prefer the V8 one. There's a pretty good build log on here too of one.
