Not sure how expensive they are, but perhaps look into an ex-rally 4WD Celica or Corolla? Remember how much the F1 cars weigh.
Hi all, i am new to this awesome forum
I am in the process of planning and building a track day car
My plans "so far"
Most importantly i want and will use a 3SGTE engine no matter what
Either use a toyota starlet chassis or maybe even build a chassis myself.
I have some ideas about the other stuff but it all depends on what kind of chassis i am going to use and a few other things.
Preferably i will go with 4-wheel drive but if that wont work i will just use a mr2 transmission and go rear wheel drive.
Any way my question is, can a car be to light for good traction? This might be a stupid question, but this really got me thinking and i just dont know lol.
Hope you guys can help me out here, if there are any more questions feel free to ask.

well yes, but the F1 cars have ALOT downforcerealisticly i wont even get close to that
Well, cars like Ariel Atom don't have too much trouble putting down the power. My point is, set the car up and it'll be fine.
Off topic, are you near Zandvoort? When I was up there, my local friends took me to a beach there, I could hear cars but didn't know there was a bloody race track there (until afterwards).
There's an ST185 rally car in Belgium for £60,000 lol
€15,000 ST185 in Poland
€30,000 ST205 in Hungary
Whatever you decide, keep us updated ja?
not real close but i am about 1 hour drive away from zandvoort, and you ofcourse i will keep you guys up to date
thanks for the reply's
