I love the x men, LOTS AND LOTS of characters.....prolblem is it gets messy after a while.
A thread for discussing comics, let's see how many comic fans we've got here.
Uncanny X-Men: Rise & Fall Of The Shi'ar Empire arc. Not bad still trying to come to grips with who everyone is and what has happen since the last UXM i read.
Need to get the rest of Marvel Civil War and DC 52
Indie title
Y! The Last Man Vol.4
Not bad a little slow but still fun nonetheless
discuss and what your reading at the moment.

Last year I liked to read duo comics, Superman/Batman, Cable & Deadpool.
I enjoyed how they use their abilities to compliment each other. And Superman/Batman has a gigantic Half Superman, Half Batman space robot.
Im reading the Marvel Black covered Orgin of Wolverine at the moment actually going to go pick the 2nd volume up this weekend. Im pretty excited about it.
Does comics include Manga and Graphic Novels? Or are we talking traditional comics like Jug Head, Archie and Peanuts?
If you ride a single speed and nobody sees you, is it still cool?
civil war was probably the biggest thing to shake up the marvel universe in a long long time, and it sets it up for this skrull thing now as well
although the spidey-peter parker unmasking was a bit of a non-event and who knows if cap-steve rogers is really dead, don't really like the idea of bucky/winter soldier in the suit right now
i have always liked iron man but after civil war i liked him more
also messiah complex got me back into xmen after a long, long time
(where's Jean Grey?!?!??!)
DC - well, i like all star batman and JLA from back then (not the current incarnation). picked up the GL sinestro corps war HC last week and thought wtf? but it looks good and i've never really read GL
other stuff - well, i used to be big time image fanboy and i like what dreamwave did with TF, although i don't really care for the IDW stuff
(man i sound like such a nerd)
For me I never really got into Iron Man but after Civil War I hated him. CW been good so far but the problem I see with CW is that it changed to much of the Marvel universe and that whatever followed afterwards couldn't really continue on... ie Spiderman unmasking himself to the public.
Oh anyone collecting Ultimates3? Really want to get it but I've been hearing mixed reviews about, but i'll probably end up getting it any ways since I love Joe Mad art and Jeph Loeb is one of my favourite writers.
i just bought civil war
Mostly into older belgion comics.
Axterix, Tintin (how can you not love the work of Hergé), Blake & Mortimer etc.
Tintin kicks ass, I remember watching the cartoon on ABC.
Here's a little heads up if you didn't know, Peter Jackson/Senor Spielbergo are making a Tintin movie... can't wait
I was just reading through my new wolverine comic. and re-remember some characters. and please tell me if this is wrong.
In the Movie, Xmen. Wolverine saves Rogue and they become friends and share a special bond. But in the OG comics Wolverine and Rogue battle at the Pentagon and Rogue kills one of his friends where Wolverine swears vengences! Yet Rogue is welcomed into the Xmen as one of them. Around the time Wolverine gets married.
Thats a bit of a twist on the movie to comic.
And also Yakio in Xmen 2 is another mutant like Wolverine. But in the comics she is a lover of wolverines who betrays him to Shingen, Marikos father yet she does mention that she would give her soul to be like wolverine.
Is that the true history of her?
Really? Do want!
I'm not too familiar with Wolverines origins but I wouldn't use the Xmen movies as canon for the Xmen stories. But if you want an updated look on the Xmen i suggest you get the Astonishing X-men series. imo i reckon its probably the best XMEN comic to come out in the last few years.
