Been working on this project car for just a month now but things have come up against my favour and regrettably I have to consider selling this car (more than likely I will have to get rid of her).
The car in question is a Z31 300ZX. It was purchased in a non-running condition and have since ironed out the issues one by one and got the car started…still hunts on idle but with the workshop manual, my mate and I are working through the issues.
The details are as follows:
VG30ET (V6 Turbo )
Resprayed black
BBS Rims (model unknown)
Pro Cooling Intercooler custom mounted with custom piping
Greddy BOV
New Fuel Reg and lines
NGK Plugs
Custom twin mount thermo fans for radiator.
King springs (came with the car)
Custom exhaust (came with the car)
The car requires a little more work (service and installation of switches for thermo fans, general tidy up for interior) and a blue slip (can help organise this) which it will pass no problems. Car starts, runs and has been driven around the block to test.
The body is damn straight for its age. The gloss on the paint still comes through and there was only tiny rust in the engine bay and tail gate which have now been treated! The seals on the Targa roof are fresh and seal great!
It’s pretty upsetting that I have to get rid of the car. However, we have to do what we have to do. At the moment I’m going to continue to work on it, but I just want to see what kind of interest I can generate on the car.
I would like to see this go to someone who can realise it’s potential but at the end of the day I just need to move it. I’ve had a look around and Z’s in similar condition or slightly better with rego are going around the 6-7k mark! I’m looking at 5k, but am negotiable so feel free to hit me up with an offer.
